Well, Thanksgiving week is upon us, so this week’s blog entry is a little earlier than usual. As always, we wanted to take a minute to wish all of you out there a very safe, happy, and healthy Thanksgiving from everyone here at Voice Coaches!

And while usually I don’t combine our holiday blog posts with our Voice Overs of the World column, this year I couldn’t resist. You see, State Farm has released an internet video about turkey fryer safety starring none other than William Shatner!

As you can see, Shatner appears on-camera in the video, but it’s his voice over that really makes it such a fun viewing experience for me. Few people have mastered the art of the over-dramatic like Shatner has, and this piece has the perfect tone to fit his over-the-top melodramatic delivery. And if his lines about the “dingle-dangle” aren’t the funniest thing I’ve heard all year, I don’t know what is!
